Student membership is not a national program. Rather, each regional group decides the direction of their student outreach which may include student membership, a Student Career Day or scholarships. If membership is offered, the region dictates student eligibility requirements, fees and benefits.

The event began at 6:30pm with yummy hors d'oeuvres followed by the presentation at 7:30pm. FGI-AZ Student Chapter Chair, Katy Hansen and Co-Chair Dapzury Valenzuela welcomed members and guests and presented a DVD showcasing Galina and her design process from initial sketches, draping of the garment, and patternmaking, to the cutting and sewing of the final garment.
This was followed by a Live Art runway show featuring ASU dancers in one-of-a-kind garments possing for a duration that allowed viewers to appreciate the detail workmanship of the garments. The posses reflected Galina's inspiration by Gustav Klimt and his famous paintings.
